Organic Poultry - by Katie ThearThis unique book provides an excellent coverage of what is involved in managing organic poultry, including laying and table chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys and guinea fowl. It includes research findings on the best way to cater for the innate needs of poultry and aims to clarify a situation where there is considerable confusion about organic standards. A 'must' for those keeping poultry organically or considering converting to organic poultry List of Contents
Reviews I wish I'd had this book when I started keeping poultry organically.
It would have saved me a lot of time and effort. It covers chickens,
ducks, geese, turkeys and guinea fowl, and tells you exactly what
you need to know in each case - housing, feeding, problems, etc.
Of particular interest is the inclusion of the latest research
findings about keeping free-range and organic poultry. If you're
confused about what 'organic' means, and about the varying organic
standards, this is the book for you. It's clearly written and
easy to read (like all Katie Thear's books) and is well illustrated
in colour and black and white. More from Organic Poultry by Katie Thear
