With the recent threat of "Bird Flu" Forsham had developed the new Safeguard Run which allows you to place a chicken coop inside of the run and allow the chickens a certain amount of freedom whilst keeping them away from wild birds as well as foxes and other predators.

The Safeguard is a fully enclosed run system to accommodate your birds their housing and their feed.  The Safeguard is a movable and extendable modular construction run made from pressure treated timbers secured in 1 x 1/2" 19 gauge wire. 

The Safeguard run can be extended in increments of 3' and for higher security there is an optional safety porch which allows entry via two doors.  Also available is the optional stretcher handles (four person lift) which easily enables the safeguard run to be moved from place to place to prevent the ground from becoming "fowl sick".

Another optional extra is the fox skirt which consists of 2"x2" heavy gauge mesh which is hinged to the ground rail and lays out on the turf forming an effective anti-digging barrier. The Safeguard run could also be used as a run for other pets such as rabbits guinea pigs cats and dogs or even to prevent birds from pecking your soft fruit bushes!
