Experience with chickens:

We have been keeping chickens ( and other fowl) for over 20 years so have accumulated a lot of experience with different breeds, housing, problems, hatching, all of which we can share with you. On our smallholding we have a wide range of birds that you can see to help you make decisions on what birds you would like to keep.

Chicken Keeping Courses Information

Our workshops run for a morning or afternoon and are designed to provide you with all the information you need to know to start confidently keeping a few chickens in your garden. Topics covered will include some theory and some practical:

Housing
Feeding & Water
Handling your birds
Health & Hygiene
Hatching more!
Chicken supplies

Courses include refreshments and an information pack per booking. There are 3 child places on each workshop. Each is free with one paying adult There will be theory as well as some practical so please ensure any children are able to sit and study with us
