Experience with chickens:

We have been keeping chickens ( and other fowl) for over 20 years so have accumulated a lot of experience with different breeds, housing, problems, hatching, all of which we can share with you. On our smallholding we have a wide range of birds that you can see to help you make decisions on what birds you would like to keep.

Chicken Keeping Courses Information

Our workshops run for a morning or afternoon and are designed to provide you with all the information you need to know to start confidently keeping a few chickens in your garden. Topics covered will include some theory and some practical:

Feeding & Water
Handling your birds
Health & Hygiene
Hatching more!
Chicken supplies

Cost: £25.00 per adult or 2 adults for £40.00 - Course fee includes refreshments and an information pack per booking. There are 3 child places on each workshop. Each is free with one paying adult
